marriage

Now I am married
and I am good.
She sells her drawings
and I wash the dishes,
and boil the oatmeal and lentil soup and ravioli,
and I call it cooking.
I try to keep track of the bills
and the forms and I worry
about money, and
she works in her studio and
she writes and she draws and she paints,
and she's the queen of my world.
Long live the queen of my world without end,
